This romantic feast starts with an amuse bouche of “GIAHS Seiryu Nagaragawa no Ayu Kobujime”, simmered ayu sweetfish from Japan’s Nagara River, a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS), which is hand-rolled with kelp. This is followed by the first lobster course of the evening, “Homardebi Otsukuri” – hand-sliced Canadian lobster sashimi.
This mouth-watering meal then moves from the sea to the land, with “US Black Angus Beef Kaminabe“ served with vegetables, chicken and ginger soup in a traditional kaminabe paper hotpot. This sets the stage perfectly for the next delectable dish, “Homard Ebitsume Furai” – deep-fried Canadian lobster claw with a fresh garden salad.
Following a palate cleansing strawberry & Champagne granita with rose macaroon and fresh mint, the lobster extravaganza builds to a crescendo with a dramatic “Homard-ebi Teppanyaki” – teppanyaki Canadian lobster with Japanese lobster sauce. Couples can then discover another marine delicacy, “Unagigohan Seiromushi” – steamed, sliced and grilled fresh water eel with egg omelet and shiso leaves on a bed of uruchimai rice, served in a seiro wooden box.
The Valentine’s menu concludes with a chocolate raspberry cake, accompanied with red wine jelly and almond, a truly romantic way to end this special evening.
